Commander Robert L. Gustavus, SC, USN (Retired)
Mr. Gustavus is a retired U.S. Navy Supply Corps officer who served 21 years in the U.S. Navy. He specialized in systems acquisition and financial management while on active duty. He has been a comptroller; has extensive experience in government contracts; and had command of a Defense Contract Management Agency organization. After retiring from the U.S. Navy, he was a Program Manager for a service firm responsible for supporting several major DoD program offices. He has owned a small management consulting company providing a wide range of advice on business issues. His experience includes over thirty years in higher education teaching MBA courses and DoD acquisition courses. He has been a Campus Dean, a Regional Dean, and the Director of Online Programs for a major university. He is currently a Department Chair at the Defense Acquisition University at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. He teaches senior level management courses for DoD acquisition personnel and is involved in a wide variety of consulting engagements for DoD program offices.
